"Progress . . not perfection"
Progress House was founded in December 1961, by a group of men and women who recognized the need for a recovery setting. These people themselves had recovered from a seemingly hopeless state of mind and body. Progress House started with space for approximately 10 men when it opened its modest doors in the 2000 block of N. New Jersey St. The House later moved to 1703 N. Talbot St. In 1969 Progress House moved to 14 N. Highland Ave., where it remained for the next 32 years, until the move to our current location in November, 2001. Progress House today is located a mile from Downtown Indianapolis.
