Mockingbird Hill welcomes new medical provider

Mockingbird Hill – October 2023
Mockingbird Hill Recovery Center is so pleased to welcome our new, full-time onsite medical provider!
Stephanie Murdock is a Physician Assistant with strong attachment to substance use disorder (SUD) treatment. After obtaining her bachelors degree from the University of Indianapolis and masters from Butler University, she spent several years working in emergency medicine and mobile urgent care.
“This is where I started seeing the true need for SUD providers and the lack of community resources. My mother has struggled with addiction my entire life. I have witnessed first-hand what addiction can do to an individual and the loved ones around them,” Stephanie says.
“This has given me a drive to help the community struggling with substance use disorders. I feel like I am making a difference in the individual lives I serve at MBH while still fulfilling my dreams of working in healthcare.”
Welcome to the journey, Stephanie!
With this addition, Mockingbird Hill is able to increase the amount of intakes we do daily. On most days we now have the ability to do same- or next-day intakes and possible walk-ins, if someone is deemed clinically appropriate for our program.
Potential residents will still need to complete an online application and phone screen with an Assessment Technician prior to admission.
Until next time…
